South Central Region Junior Development Clinic and Tournament returns to
the Lakes of Katy (www.skilakesofkaty.com)
this year July 9th – 11th and we are hoping for
the same great turnout we had last year!

We have negotiated a group rate with the brand new, just opened in June
2010 Residence Inn Houston Katy Mills by Marriott. The hotel features
25% larger rooms, which includes a full kitchen in each room, free
breakfast, Mon-Thurs evening free drinks & snacks, pool, basketball
sport court and a convenient location for the non-skiers in your group
within walking distance to the Katy Mills Mall and many popular
restaurants.

We
will follow the same plan as last year with a few small changes. The
clinic and tournament will start at 8:00am each day. Practice sets will
be available Friday afternoon starting at 1:00pm. There will be a free
pizza party on-site Friday night hosted by the Lakes of Katy Water Ski
Club starting at 6:00pm, open to all Clinic participants, Tournament
skiers, officials and their families. We plan on running the tournament
on 3 lakes on Saturday to accommodate the large number of expected
skiers. Last year we had to limit the jump competition to 1 round in
order to finish and we don’t want that to happen this year. Lunch will
be provided each day for skiers and officials. Saturday night there will
be a catered barbeque banquet on-site starting at 7:00pm. Each
tournament skier will receive a wristband in their registration packet;
additional wristbands may be purchased thru Online Registration or at
onsite registration for $10.00. Children under 6 eat free.
